Light up the night! Disney Springs new bar and restaurant The Edison has opened its doors.
Themed as a 1920s electric company serving craft cocktails and American food this new hot spot is a mix of steampunk and elegance. They have unique acts like contortionists, aerialists, live cabaret, DJs and more. I expect it to join the list of adult favorites at Disney World.
It’s 21 and up after 10:00 pm with a dress code and a cover charge on weekends.
Men may wear slacks, jeans or dress shorts. Jackets are optional. No ball caps, sleeveless shirts or flip-flops allowed.
On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, there will be a $10 cover charge starting at 10:00 pm.
What do you think would this new spot make your list on a trip to Disney?
Provincial Belle is a fun easy to put together running costume. Running in runDisney races has become a true passion, okay maybe an addiction, of mine. I was hooked after my first 5k and quickly upgraded to a 10k just the following fall! For my second race, I had to wear one of the fun costumes I saw on the race course at the 5k. I came up with the idea of doing Provincial Belle because I was running at the runDisney Wine & Dine 10k and that weekend has the Lumiere challenge, which made me think of Belle. (more…)
From just about the moment we found out we were pregnant we wanted to do something special with our baby’s nursery. With my love of Disney, something using a Disney classic was likely in the cards, but we did want it to be something a little different. During my pregnancy, we went to see Finding Neverland and I came up with the idea that a Peter Pan Neverland nursery would be the cutest idea for a boy. We didn’t know what we were having at that point, but the minute we found I immediately knew we had to go through with that idea. We had so much fun putting together this room and I (more…)
A babies first birthday is such an exciting milestone for new parents. An easy DIY no sew tutu with a matching onesie is a perfect first birthday outfit for any baby girl. When my adorable niece was turning one I decided to make her a little first birthday outfit to wear on her day! There isn’t anything cuter, in my opinion, that a little girl in a tutu (more…)
I’ve looked high and low for a good place to resell and donate clothes. I love donating clothing to a good cause, but I also love the idea of making some money on clothes that are in great condition and giving them a new life in someone else’s closet!

Why I Sent In My Used Clothes To ThredUP
I stumbled across ThredUP on another blog and decided to give it a try. The set up of their website was great. They have a diverse mix of great products listed and even high-end designers. I had some great clothes from stores like Banana Republic that (more…)
I am beyond thrilled to announce that my husband and I have a bun in the oven! There was so much thought over when to announce and how. Is it too early? Can we keep it a secret longer? How should we tell people? Who do we tell first? I’m sure every first time mom goes through this and everyone makes their own decision on when the right time is. (more…)
Whether you are planning your first trip to Walt Disney World or your 100th, you’ve likely seen or heard that Disney uses something called a Magic Band as an all in one source for your park ticket, room key, reservations, photos, fast passes and even a credit card to use on in park purchases. Basically, everything for your vacation is linked on this one little waterproof wristband.
If you book a stay at one of the Walt Disney World resorts your entire party will receive a magic band by mail at least 30 days prior to your vacation. You can also choose to buy your own magic band and Disney sells many different ones. I now have about 10 different magic bands. I like to make these personalized magic band decals with my Cricut die cut machine. They add a little personality and then I can tell my bands apart.

The magic bands used for this project were the old style magic band. Around January 2017, Disney updated the magic bands and now uses a different style. This project will still work for the new style bands, but you may need to adjust the size of your decal accordingly.
There are many places you can buy vinyl decals such as Etsy if you do not want to make your own vinyl decals. I love any excuse to use my Cricut, so I make them for myself, friend’s, and family. This is a pretty (more…)

There are tons of reasons why a lifestyle change can be beneficial and for many people, it may even be necessary. The last two years were a whirlwind for me and during that time I have let my wellbeing suffer. During this time and even before, I have suffered from stomach aches, trouble sleeping and difficulty losing weight. (more…)
I previously posted how to make a princess monogrammed water bottle. My sister saw my post and wanted her very own water bottle. I decided to change the design and make her a Little Mermaid water bottle with layered glitter vinyl and use a glass water bottle. Glass can easily be used to apply vinyl. They are a wonderful alternative for those wanting to avoid plastic. In this post, I’ll show you how to make your very own layered glitter (more…)
An easy way to update your winter decor without spending a fortune is with pillow covers. You can cover existing pillows for less than $20.00 and have a new look for the winter season. Create your own covers or purchase new ones in a style you like. I decided to save myself some time and not sew new covers. On a trip to IKEA, I found some plain red covers that would perfectly fit my couch pillows for less than $10.00 each! They are perfect for an iron-on vinyl overhaul. I made both designs at the same time with a die cut machine and design (more…)
